Q: Why Pound?A: POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. What would a drumming workout be without drumsticks? We’ve invented unique, lightly weighted exercise drumsticks that have been specially designed to get you ripped — hence the name: Ripstix®!

It Works!
POUND combines easy to follow (and not complex or embarrassing) cardio moves with strength training and drumming. This combo works the entire body, raises the heart rate to a fat-burning zone, and forces each move to be as precise as a basic beat.
Each 2-4 minute song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences, providing you with the best workout in the shortest span of time. After you’re done rocking out to the 45-minute POUNDtrack, you’ll have done 15,000 reps, performed over 30 extended interval peaks, and zipped through over 70 techniques without even realizing it.

Q: Are there any people who cannot attend classes?
A: Participants with heart problems, pregnancy or injuries should not participate. If you are less than 6 weeks postpartum then you cannot attend. We also strongly suggest check with your doctor to get the ok after the 6 weeks postpartum. All student will be asked to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q), if there are found to be any contraindications, you may be asked to provide a doctor's note to clear you for exercise. If there is anything that you think may affect your ability to take part in a physical exercise class, please get in touch - it's best that your instructor knows about any medical conditions, so they can help you if you fall ill during a class.

A: YES! Pound is for men & women of all shapes & sizes. Majority of the classes are women, but we have home some brave husbands come rock out with us! We don't just used the hit list/pop tracks. We use tons of awesome hard & heavy hits from artist like Linkin Park, Rage Against Machine, Nirvana & many, many more!

Q: What if I'm under 19?
A: If you are under 19, you must get your parent/guardian to come into the studio with you to sign a waiver and we will view their ID.
Q: I'm afraid I'm to old for this! Is there an age limit?
A: You are never too old. We have people in our class ranging for their 20's to 60's. We welcome you if you are older or younger than that. We've had mothers & daughters take class together and even some grandmothers attend classes. We've heard of some lovely 80 year olds attending a class. If you have mobility issues you can always do the workout sitting in a chair.
Q: I am pregnant, can I still participate?
A: No, even if you Doctor allows it. We will not allow you to participate in classes if you are pregnant due to insurance liabilities.

Other workouts might have you moving along with the beat, but POUND puts you in charge of the beat. You're forced to perfect your timing, precision, and form based on what you hear and how loud you are, and when you can hear your mark…you can hit your mark.
Activated:
Each beat activates a series of stabilizer muscles, helping you burn more calories as multiple muscle groups work together. The POUND method relies upon constant arm movement in-sync with the beat, which activates the entire body throughout the full duration of the workout.
Strategic:
